Mindfulness courses in English
Mindfulness courses: Courses will start on a regular basis (when sufficient participants (max. ± 12)
On regular moments we will start an 8 weekly group training sessions.
This course is an intensive training with 2-2,5 hour sessions 8 weeks long. It's based on the mindfulness based cognitive therapy from John Teasdale. You will receive the original English workbook "The Mindful Way", with which we work and also audio recordings and hand-outs. Scientific research shows that this helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depressive feelings, etc. In this course you will learn to integrate mindfulness in your life and to deal with the more difficult states of mind
During the training You will learn to live and focus onto the present moment, with acceptance and kindness, mindfully. We will do several meditations and very soft (adapted to each individual) yoga exercises.
Training sessions are given by Marjo van Dijck, psychologist and certified category 1 trainer of VMBN (Dutch National Mindfulness Institute), which means you will get most of the costs of this training reimbursed from your health insurance.
Marjo lived for over 15 years in New Zealand, she therefore is a fluent English speaker and writer (passed IELTS Academic test with 8).
